Dr. Lawrence’s credentials

Eric S. Lawrence, D.D.S., graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry, and earned his certificate in Orthodontics and Oro-facial Orthopedics from Emory University School of Dentistry. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the most current and advanced care possible. Dr. Lawrence has specialized training in orthodontic care for youth and adults, surgical orthodontics TMJ disorders, and Oro-facial Orthopedics.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Lawrence is the former Director of both Orthodontic and TMJ sections of the Division of Dentistry at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, and is the current consultant in orthodontics and TMJ for Cleveland Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is an active member of the International Association of Police Surgeons, The American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Foundation for Orthodontic Research, Ohio Association of Orthodontists, Greater Cleveland Orthodontic Society, Cleveland Dental Society, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Alpha Omega Dental.  Dr. Lawrence teaches as a clinical professor at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine, educating the next generation of orthodontists in the Case Western Reserve Orthodontic School.

His research has earned him the Golden Pen Award presented by the International College of Dentists for his work entitled, “Clinical and Radiographic Evidence and Naso-Respritory Obstruction and its affects on Facial Growth.” He has developed and received several patents from the US Patent and Trademark Department. One for a moldable cranio-mandibular orthotic, which has been clinically proven to stop nocturnal clenching, headaches, and snoring. Patents for oral hygiene dispensers and personal bleaching lights. Dr. Lawrence has been published in professional journals, is a contributing author for The Cranio-Mandibular Complex published in 1987, and The Temporomandibular Joint published in 1994. Dr. Lawrence was selected as one of America’s top dentists by the National Consensus Research Council in 2005 and 2006. He is a frequent lecturer for professional groups and schools, and is a regular presenter at national professional meetings.
